possibilities in MIYAKOJIMA...
Miyakojima (Miyako-islnd) in Okinawa, Japan is where Rina's mother was born and raised.
When the Pandemic attacked NYC in 2020, it also hit Rina deeply mentally.
Even though she have never actually “lived” on that island, there was not a tiny hesitation to decide to go to Miyakojima.
This decision guided Rina into a new era not only as a performer, but also as one human being. She met new duties, resposibilities, and confidenses within these 2 years at the island.
Here are some of what she had achieved there and dreams of in the future!

Rina Maejima Solo Concert ~Taste the Sound Live~
This was a full self-produced
concert in Miyakojima.
The concepts of the concert:
1. Provide more live music experiences to the children!
2. Introduce varieties of music!
3. Share the talents this island is holding!
Miyakojima is full of talent, music, passion, and joy and the children must have more opportunites to see the possibilities in the performing arts.
This concert was my answer as a performer!

Street Concerts and more!
As a matter or fact, there are so many talented artists in Miyako-jima!! She is so honored to have had opporutnities to enjoy the music together!!
Not only to have more opportunities to perform with them, and also to give opportunities for locals to enjoy live music way easier and casually, Rina created many different street concerts in Miyako-jima. They are mostly free and pay as you like style.

School Concerts and Lectures
There are not many chances to experience live music, especially non-japanese/ non-local arts.
As a professional peformer, Rina felt that she can take a role to be a "window" for them.
At each concert and lecture, Rina introduced the performing arts she's been trained for, followed by live performances by herself and sometimes with the local musicians.
Big thanks to each local schools and teachers, and lovely students!!

Colaboration with the Media-
FM Miyako / Miyako TV
FM Miyako is the local radio staion connects people, as well as connecting Rina to who loves this island.
As a "radio lover", becoming a radio DJ was one of Rina's dreams come true!
Through her own radio programs, Rina shared variety of music with some fun facts! Also she had invited local guests every week, introduced their professional works, and had fun live session on the radio wave!
